Fos-sur-Mer is a commune in the Bouches-du-Rhône department, located at the western end of the Gulf of Fos, between the Crau plain and the Mediterranean. The city is world-renowned for its industrial and port zone (ZIP de Fos), created in the 1960s, which is one of the largest industrial and port complexes in Europe, covering over 10,000 hectares. Despite its industrial focus, Fos-sur-Mer retains a remarkable historical heritage with its medieval castle on the Hauture rock, mentioned as early as 923, and the Saint-Sauveur church. The Fossette district, designed in the 1970s as the city's future urban center, now hosts this flea market that enlivens local life every weekend.
The Fossette Flea Market offers comprehensive facilities to welcome visitors and exhibitors in the best conditions. Visitor parking is free, with reserved spaces for people with reduced mobility and motorcycles. A food market and on-site catering allow you to refuel between finds. Toilets are available (free on Saturdays, €0.50 on Sundays). The site also includes a vehicle and motorcycle sales area.
Individuals wishing to exhibit should arrive on the day between 6 am and 8:30 am with a double-sided photocopy of their ID. The 6 x 5 meter pitch is offered at €15. Only second-hand items are permitted for individuals. Traveling vendors have 8 x 5 meter pitches for €20 on Sundays and €15 on Saturdays and public holidays, upon presentation of their business registration (K-bis), liability insurance, and itinerant trader card. Payment is by cash only.
