The village's annual flea market on the sports field
Serviès, a small village in south-east Tarn, hosts an annual flea market at its community stadium that gathers residents and visitors from neighbouring villages. Set for the second Sunday of September, it marks the return of local events after the summer break.
Usually home to football training and matches, the stadium turns for one day into a browsing space. Sellers set up directly on the grass and surroundings, offering a generous open area and plenty of parking.
Private sellers and a few local semi-professionals offer bric-a-brac, clothing, toys, books, tableware, tools, trinkets, light furniture and various objects. Gentle prices, in keeping with the rural Tarn spirit.
At €2 per linear metre (vehicle included on the stand), Serviès offers especially accessible conditions. This pricing keeps the dynamic alive year after year.
Serviès (81220) is 15 km north-east of Lavaur and 30 km from Castres, near the Sidobre's granite landscapes.
The bar and light food stand animate the day. Sausages, fries and grilled meats accompany the Sunday atmosphere while children enjoy the open stadium space.
