The Flea Market of Apremont-sur-Allier, named "A day of treasure hunting", is much more than a simple car boot sale. This event takes place in an exceptional setting: the lawns by the Allier river, at the foot of the restored medieval houses covered with roses. About 60 exhibitors, professional antique dealers and individuals with beautiful collections, offer their finds on white-clothed tables, facing the river.

This village in the Cher department, located on the banks of the Allier river, was entirely restored in the 1930s by Eugène de Chambrun. Its ochre stone houses with flat tile roofs, its remarkable floral park, and its bucolic setting make it one of the jewels of the Berry region. The flea market takes advantage of this picturesque decor to create a unique atmosphere, between art de vivre and quality treasure hunting.

The "Un jour de chine" flea market in Apremont-sur-Allier returns for its 13th edition on Sunday, June 28, 2026, from 8 am to 6 pm. Organized by the Apremont-sur-Allier town hall, it takes place on the lawns along the Allier river, at the foot of restored medieval houses covered with roses.
Over 80 exhibitors
More than 80 exhibitors are expected, mostly professional antique dealers, complemented by a few private sellers. The stalls offer antique toys, furniture, crockery, linen, garden tools, books, engravings, and paintings, presented on white-tableclothed tables facing the river. Exhibitor registration is mandatory before the event at the town hall.
Exceptional setting
The flea market is held in one of France's Most Beautiful Villages, with no vehicles on site, to preserve the bucolic setting. A communal refreshment stand run by locals, offering barbecue, grilled andouillettes, wines, and local products. Recommendation: arrive from 8 am for the best finds, then enjoy the afternoon visiting the nearby Parc Floral d'Apremont.

From Bourges, take the D2076 then the D976 towards Nevers. Apremont-sur-Allier is about 60 kilometers southeast of Bourges. From Nevers, take the N7 then the D976 (about 20 minutes).
