The Foire du Tout et de la Curiosité d'Issoudun is the largest and oldest flea market in Berry. For its 50th edition in 2026, this legendary event brings together hundreds of exhibitors in the streets of the medieval town. Professionals and individuals offer antiques, flea market finds, curiosities, and objects of all kinds. Half a century of tradition makes Issoudun the capital of treasure hunting in Centre-Val de Loire.
In 2026, the Foire du Tout et de la Curiosité d'Issoudun celebrates its 50th edition, an exceptional anniversary for this event which has become the largest flea market in Berry. Every first Sunday of September, the streets of the medieval city are transformed into a huge open-air flea market where hundreds of exhibitors offer antiques, old furniture, trinkets, books, tableware, tools, vinyl records, curiosities, and unusual objects. Treasure hunters from all over France converge on Issoudun for this day that combines good deals and heritage discoveries.
Issoudun is a city steeped in history in the heart of Berry. Its White Tower, a 12th-century keep, overlooks the Théols valley. The Hospice Saint-Roch museum, housed in a former 15th-century Hôtel-Dieu, holds a remarkable collection of contemporary art with works by Balzac and a unique Jesse tree sculpture in France. The Foire du Tout is part of this living heritage, transforming the cobbled streets into a labyrinth of stalls and finds each year.
Created in 1977, the Foire du Tout et de la Curiosité was born from the desire to liven up the town center of Issoudun and perpetuate the tradition of Berry fairs. Over the decades, it has become a must-attend event that attracts several thousand visitors. The atmosphere is warm and popular: people bargain, rummage through boxes, meet friends. Local food is available on-site with potato pancakes, Berry rillettes, and Reuilly wines.
The 50th Foire du Tout et de la Curiosité d'Issoudun will be held on Sunday, September 6, 2026, in the town center. Exceptional anniversary edition. Free admission.
