The Felletin Antiques-Flea Market Day takes place in the Pont Roby district, one of the most picturesque sites in the town. This historic district, nestled below the town center, runs along the banks of the Creuse river which winds between rocks and lush vegetation. The exhibitors' stalls are set up along the river, creating a unique atmosphere where treasure hunting blends with the murmur of water and the charm of the surrounding built heritage.

Felletin, centuries-old capital of tapestry

Felletin is inseparable from the art of tapestry. Since the 15th century, Felletin workshops have produced exceptional tapestries, a know-how inscribed in the UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage alongside Aubusson. The town preserves remarkable heritage: the Moutier church with its Romanesque crypt, the houses of master tapestry makers, the Espace Histoire de Laine (Wool History Space), and the banks of the Creuse. The flea market naturally fits into this rich cultural setting, where antiques and art objects find a fitting showcase.

More than 80 exhibitors over two days

Organized by the association Felletin Patrimoine Environnement (FPE), the antiques-flea market day brings together more than 80 exhibitors, antique professionals and individuals. Old furniture, art objects, earthenware, tapestries, rare books, craft tools, trinkets, and curiosities make up an eclectic and high-quality display. The event takes place over two days in August, from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., giving visitors time to explore each stand and find that rare piece.

Felletin Patrimoine Environnement, guardian of local heritage

The FPE association works to preserve and promote Felletin's heritage. The antiques-flea market day is one of its flagship events, contributing to the town's cultural influence and summer tourism. Registrations can be made at the Felletin tourist office or at the Espace Histoire de Laine.
