FC Vendenheim Flea Market at Stade Waldeck

An Ascension flea market in the heart of the stadium

The FC Vendenheim Flea Market has established itself over the years as one of the Ascension Day events in the north of the Strasbourg metropolitan area. Organised by volunteers from the Vendenheim Football Club, this event takes place at Stade Waldeck, a well-known sports venue in the commune. Private and professional exhibitors set up their stands around the pitch and in the stadium aisles, offering a wide variety of items: antique furniture, crockery, glassware, trinkets, light fixtures, books, vinyl records, clothing, antique toys, tools and curiosities. Entry for visitors is free and parking is available. The refreshment stand and snack bar, run by club volunteers, offer drinks, grilled food and Alsatian specialities throughout the day. The proceeds from this event directly contribute to financing the club's teams and activities, notably enabling equipment maintenance and youth training.

Vendenheim, a dynamic commune in the north of the Eurométropole

Vendenheim is a commune of around 6,000 inhabitants located about ten kilometres north of Strasbourg, within the Strasbourg Eurométropole. Crossed by the Souffel river and bordered by the Brumath forest, the commune benefits from a pleasant living environment between city and countryside. The Stade Waldeck, a municipal sports facility, is the training and competition venue of the Vendenheim Football Club, an amateur club playing in regional championships and training dozens of young players each season. The organisation of an annual flea market is one of the highlights that punctuates the club's life and helps maintain a strong community dynamic within the commune.
