Major neighbourhood réderie in Amiens, 300 exhibitors in the Faubourg de Hem
The Faubourg de Hem Réderie livens up the Amiens district on Sunday 10 May 2026 from 6.30am to 6pm. Organised by the Faubourg de Hem neighbourhood committee, this large urban réderie gathers about 300 exhibitors on rue du Faubourg de Hem and rue Robert Lecoq. Free coffee for exhibitors from 6am, on-site refreshments and toilets: the setup is seasoned for this rendezvous anchored in the tradition of Amiens réderies, a true institution in the Picard capital.
Amiens is undeniably France's réderie capital. Each year the Amiens Réderie, one of Europe's largest, welcomes over 2,000 exhibitors in spring and autumn. But Amiens also boasts a dense fabric of neighbourhood réderies throughout the year, run by neighbourhood committees. The Faubourg de Hem Réderie is among them: with its 300 exhibitors, it is one of the city's most important secondary réderies.
On Sunday 10 May 2026, the 300 exhibitors set up from 6.30am on two main streets: rue du Faubourg de Hem and rue Robert Lecoq. These streets, the district's commercial and residential heart, host the réderie. Traffic is closed off, letting hunters wander freely from stall to stall. The offering is rich and varied: private sellers clearing attics (majority), professional dealers (furniture, tableware, collections), young creators and vintage second-hand.
The Faubourg de Hem Neighbourhood Committee organises the réderie with care. Its volunteers manage exhibitor pre-registration, stall placement, safety and communication. Exhibitor care is notable: free coffee from 6am on arrival, toilet access, a welcome team on hand. This care is one reason for exhibitor loyalty — many return year after year. On-site refreshments by the committee and partner associations: sandwiches, chips, crêpes, hot and cold drinks.
Faubourg de Hem is one of Amiens' old faubourgs, east of the centre. A historic popular neighbourhood, it keeps an urban fabric blending old red-brick houses, apartment blocks, local shops, cafés, squares and green spaces. Saint-Martin church, lively neighbourhood life and proximity to the centre make Faubourg de Hem a cherished district. The annual réderie is one of its highlights.
Across 300 stalls, the range is particularly wide. Private sellers: family clothing, toys, books, tableware, trinkets, small furniture, baby items, decoration, sport. Professional dealers: antiques, antique furniture, paintings, clockwork, silverware, crystal, collectibles, militaria (Amiens and the Somme are war-marked), ceramics, numismatics. Creators and artisans: jewellery, upcycled items, vintage design. Young sellers: vinyls, retro video games, comics, mangas, vintage 70s-80s.
Arrive between 7 and 8am for the best pieces. Bring cash (mostly), a sturdy bag or trolley, comfortable shoes. With streets closed to traffic, park in adjacent streets or Amiens public car parks, then walk in. Amiens Nemo bus lines serve the district. Picnicking or on-site refreshments let you spend the whole day without heading home.
