Annual Farfouille of the Sou des Écoles de Tenay, on Ascension Day
The Sou des Écoles de Tenay, a parents' association, organizes a farfouille every year on Ascension Day (public holiday Thursday in May). This event has become a tradition in the village of Tenay, located in the Albarine gorge in the heart of the Bugey region.
The profits from this farfouille are entirely donated to the Sou des Écoles to fund school trips, educational activities, and cultural projects for the children of Tenay. Participating as an exhibitor or visitor also means contributing to local school life.
Ascension Day is a particularly good day for car boot sales and farfouilles in France. Exhibitors, exclusively individuals, offer clothes, toys, books, board games, strollers, and everyday items at very attractive prices. The family-friendly atmosphere of the event makes it an ideal outing with children.
The volunteers of the Sou des Écoles run a refreshment stand with drinks and snacks. Entry is free and parking is available.
