The village flea market at the gates of the Oise
The Ercheu Flea Market is one of those discreet rendezvous that make up the community life of small Somme towns. Located at the southeast tip of the department, Ercheu organises this flea market each mid-September.
In a town the size of Ercheu — just over 300 inhabitants — the flea market naturally adopts an intimate format.
The assortment reflects the daily life of Picardy households. Classic bric-a-brac and some semi-professional stalls with older furniture and collectibles.
Ercheu is a small Roye canton municipality, located at the extreme southeast of the Somme department, a few kilometres from Noyon in the Oise.
For patient and curious bargain hunters, the Ercheu Flea Market is worth the detour.
