The Emmaüs Sale in Châtillon-sur-Thouet: Solidarity and Bargains in Gâtine

Several times a year, the Emmaüs Thouars-Parthenay community organizes a major sale at its premises in Châtillon-sur-Thouet, 26 route de Bressuire, near Parthenay. This exceptional sale offers at even lower prices than usual a vast selection of furniture, clothing, dishes, books, appliances, and everyday items collected and refurbished by community companions.

Emmaüs: A Model of Solidarity Economy

The Emmaüs Thouars-Parthenay community is part of the national Emmaüs network, founded by Abbé Pierre in 1949. It welcomes people in situations of exclusion who, by collecting, sorting, and reselling second-hand items, regain a framework of life, work, and dignity.

A Sales Outlet Open Year-Round

Outside of sales events, the Emmaüs Parthenay outlet is open Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 1:30 PM to 5:30 PM. Individuals can drop off donations of items and furniture in good condition.
