Crosne, a commune in eastern Essonne

Crosne is a commune in Essonne (91) with approximately 9,500 inhabitants, located in the eastern suburbs of Paris, at the junction of the Yerres and Seine valleys, between Montgeron to the north, Yerres to the east, and Vigneux-sur-Seine to the west. It is served by the RER D via the Montgeron-Crosne station. The commune benefits from a pleasant setting, bordered to the west by the Seine, with green spaces and Seine riverbanks accessible from neighboring communes.

The Avenue Salvador Allende flea market (until 2019)

Each year, Avenue Salvador Allende hosted one of the large flea markets / car boot sales in eastern Essonne. The event brought together individuals and professionals who came to hunt for furniture, antiques, clothes, toys, books, and trinkets, in a family-friendly and popular atmosphere, with on-site catering and free admission. It attracted bargain hunters from Crosne but also from Montgeron, Yerres, Vigneux-sur-Seine, and neighboring communes in Val-de-Marne.

An event currently discontinued

The flea market has not been held since 2020. Bargain hunters looking for a car boot sale in the area can turn to the many events in neighboring communes, particularly the large flea markets in Montgeron. For any information on associative and event life in Crosne, the town hall remains the reference contact.
