The Jules Verne Community Centre in Ballan-Miré hosts a unique event: a drawer clear-out specializing in creative hobbies. Enthusiasts of sewing, knitting, crochet, painting, mosaic, scrapbooking, and manual arts come to sell or exchange their fabric scraps, balls of wool, cotton, lace, buttons, ribbons, beads, brushes, paints, canvases, easels, sewing machines, sewing boxes, and patterns. Up to 31 individual exhibitors participate in this original day, from 9:30 AM to 5:00 PM.

Ballan-Miré, between the Indre River and the Touraine Forest

Ballan-Miré is a green commune southwest of Tours Métropole, crossed by the Indre River and bordered by the Ballan Forest. The Jules Verne Community Centre, located on rue Henri-Dunant, is a hub for social life and activities, offering programs for all ages throughout the year. The creative drawer clear-out illustrates the associative dynamism of this pleasant town, just a few kilometers from the châteaux of Azay-le-Rideau and Villandry.

Introductory Workshops and Sociability

Introductory sewing workshops are offered in the morning (10 AM-12 PM) and afternoon (2 PM-4:30 PM) for adults and children aged 10 and up. A friendly area with light refreshments allows the day to be extended. Admission is free.
