On Thursday, May 29, 2025, Ascension Day, the Coussergues Committee Car Boot Sale brought together bargain hunters and exhibitors at the village games park, on the pétanque court. Organized by the Coussergues Festival Committee, this annual event brought together about thirty sellers offering a wide variety of items: crockery, books, clothing, toys, gardening tools, and decorative trinkets.
Visitors enjoyed free admission and a warm atmosphere, typical of Aveyron village car boot sales. The refreshments and food offered by the festival committee allowed attendees to eat throughout the day. The village of Coussergues, with its two bell towers and fortified medieval heritage, offered a picturesque setting for this day of bargain hunting between 582 and 738 meters above sea level.
Integrated since 2016 into the new municipality of Palmas-d'Aveyron, Coussergues perpetuates its village traditions thanks to its dynamic festival committee. The 2.4 km heritage trail marked with enameled slates allowed visitors to discover the village and its history between bargains. The 2026 edition is scheduled for Thursday, May 14th.
