The 2025 season of the Cours Julien Book Market took place from January to December, every second Saturday of the month, on the Cours Julien in the 6th arrondissement of Marseille. Organized by ADLOM (Association de Défense du Livre Objet à Marseille), this monthly event brought together about fifteen second-hand booksellers and professional booksellers offering old books, novels, art editions, comic books, vinyl records, and cinema posters. The free entry and the colorful setting of the bohemian Cours Julien district attracted bibliophiles and Saturday strollers throughout the year.
Throughout 2025, the Book Market was held every second Saturday of the month on the Cours Julien, in the 6th arrondissement of Marseille. Twelve editions took place between January 11 and December 13, confirming the event's place in Marseille's cultural landscape.
Organized by ADLOM (Association de Défense du Livre Objet à Marseille), these monthly events brought together about fifteen second-hand booksellers and professional booksellers each time to offer their selection under the pergolas of Cours Julien. From 8:30 am to 6 pm, the stalls offered a wide panorama of written works: old books, novels, art editions, original and signed editions, detective novels, comic books, vintage paperbacks, vinyl records, and cinema posters.
The incomparable setting of the Cours Julien — its street art frescoes, its café terraces, and its bohemian atmosphere — has built a loyal following of bibliophiles and curious visitors who have made this Saturday morning a ritual. Free entry and direct access from the Notre-Dame-du-Mont – Cours Julien metro station (line M1) have contributed to the event's appeal. The Cours Julien Book Market continues in 2026 at the same monthly pace.
