A boot sale for a good cause
The Cœurs Pour le Monde Boot Sale is a solidarity event organized in Guebwiller, capital of the Florival valley in Haut-Rhin, Alsace. The Cœurs Pour le Monde association mobilizes volunteers and private sellers each year to offer a day of bargain hunting whose proceeds support humanitarian projects. Clothes, toys, books, trinkets and everyday objects fill the stalls.
Guebwiller, the Florival capital
Guebwiller is a town of around 11,000 inhabitants in the Florival valley, at the foot of the Alsatian Vosges. Known for its remarkable monuments — the Romanesque Saint-Léger church, the Dominican church with its 15th-century stained glass window — it is also the gateway to the Grand Ballon, the highest point of the Vosges massif.
