The 24th Car Boot Sale of the Boule de Fort

Organized by the Boule de Fort club of Baugé-en-Anjou, this summer car boot sale is in its 24th edition, proof of its deep roots in the associative and popular fabric of the town. By bringing together around 250 exhibitors every July, it is among the most important car boot sales in the Baugeois region.

Boule de Fort, emblematic sport of Anjou

Boule de Fort is a typically Angevin ball sport, practiced exclusively in the Anjou region. Unique in the world, this game is played on a curved court (a "tonnelle") with asymmetrical balls, weighted on one side. Boule de Fort clubs are places of conviviality deeply rooted in Angevin culture, and their car boot sale constitutes one of their main sources of funding.
