Cherves-Richemont Book Fair

In June 2025, the Gérard Lavigne cultural center in Cherves-Richemont hosted the annual book fair organized by the municipal media library. Thousands of second-hand books, carefully sorted and categorized by genre, were offered to visitors at unbeatable prices: 2 to 5 euros per kilogram.

Novels, thrillers, comic books, documentaries, children's books, and specialized magazines found buyers among the many bibliophiles who came from the Cognac area and neighboring towns. This initiative by the media library, which collects donations throughout the year, gives a second life to discarded books while making culture accessible to the greatest number.
