Mons-la-Trivalle, pearl of the Orb gorges
A small village of about 200 inhabitants, Mons-la-Trivalle is located at the bottom of the Orb gorges, in the Haut-Languedoc Regional Natural Park. The landscape is striking: limestone cliffs, crystal-clear waters of the Orb, oak and chestnut forests. The Tarassac suspension bridge and hiking trails attract nature lovers. The village is also the starting point for the Vis Himalayan footbridge, one of the most spectacular in the region.
Cherries, antiquing, and nature
The Cherry Festival is an opportunity to combine antiquing, gastronomy, and nature discovery. Local producers offer cherries, honey, goat cheese, and wines from Haut-Languedoc. After the car boot sale, visitors can swim in the cool waters of the Orb or take the hiking trails that start from the village. Admission is free.

The Cherry Festival and its flea market (now also called Spring Fair) return on Sunday, June 7, 2026, from 9 AM to 6 PM in the village center of Mons-la-Trivalle, in the Orb gorges. A free day combining bargain hunters, a market of producers and artisans, an exhibition of vintage vehicles, children's games, and a celebration of the cherries from the Jaur valley.
A Free Day in the Heart of Haut-Languedoc
On Sunday, June 7, 2026, the village center of Mons-la-Trivalle (34390) hosts its traditional Cherry Festival, now also announced as the Spring Fair, from 9 AM to 6 PM. The event, organized by the Foyer rural in partnership with the Office de Tourisme du Minervois au Caroux, celebrates the harvest of sweet cherries from the Jaur valley, ready to be tasted from late May to early June.
Flea Market, Producers' and Artisans' Market
The flea market brings together 50 to 100 exhibitors — private bargain hunters and professional antique dealers — offering clothes, toys, books, trinkets, tools, second-hand items, and artisanal creations. The market of local producers and artisans complements the offer with regional specialties: fruits, honey, cheeses, local products, and artisanal know-how.
All-Day Entertainment
On the program: exhibition of vintage cars and motorcycles, street entertainment, children's games, art exhibitions, sale of fresh cherries, paella meal served from 12:30 PM, pétanque competition at 3 PM, and a free musical aperitif at 5:30 PM. Admission to the event is free.
