The 2025 edition of the Châteaurenard Car Boot Sale was held on May 1st in the town centre of this market gardening town in the Bouches-du-Rhône. Individuals and families gathered for a friendly day of bargain hunting at the foot of the fortress of the Counts of Provence, between the shaded squares and lively plazas of the town. Crockery, books, toys, clothing, knick-knacks, and various items filled the stalls, in the festive atmosphere of the Provençal public holiday.
On May 1st, 2025, the town centre of Châteaurenard hosted a new edition of its annual car boot sale, bringing together locals and visitors in the streets of this market gardening town nestled between the Alpilles and the Durance. As every year, the public holiday was an opportunity for individuals to clear out their cellars and attics, offering bargain hunters a fine selection of items at low prices.
The stalls, set up in the town centre at the foot of the Griffon hill and the fortress of the Counts of Provence, offered a variety of goods typical of Provençal car boot sales: pottery and ceramics, books and comics, clothing and accessories, toys and board games, gardening tools, small furniture, and decorative items. The warm atmosphere and the sunshine of early May contributed to the success of this popular event.
Châteaurenard, a town of over 16,000 inhabitants known for its National Interest Market and its medieval heritage, confirms each year its attachment to this spring event that combines conviviality, good deals, and the Provençal way of life. The car boot sale is expected again on May 1st, 2026.
