The Chançay car boot sale is one of the largest in Indre-et-Loire with its 300 exhibitors spread over 2,400 linear meters of stalls. Organized by the association Les Pêcheurs du lac, it is held at the Stade de la Quintaine from 6:30 AM to 6 PM. Individuals offer clothing, toys, books, dishes, trinkets, household appliances, childcare equipment, small furniture, and various other items. Parking is free and restrooms are available.
Chançay (37210) is a wine-growing village in the Brenne valley, located between Vouvray and Reugny, about fifteen kilometers northeast of Tours. The commune is part of the AOC Vouvray appellation area, one of the most prestigious white wines in the Loire Valley. The limestone hillsides dotted with troglodyte caves house winegrower cellars where you can taste dry, semi-dry, or mellow Vouvray. The nearby Château de Valmer offers gardens classified as Remarkable Gardens.
The Chançay car boot sale offers refreshments and food on site. The exhibitor fee is €2 per linear meter. Admission is free for visitors.
