Chanac (48230) is a village in Lozère located in the Gorges du Lot, about ten kilometers from Mende. Perched on a rocky outcrop overlooking the river, it offers remarkable panoramas of the valley. Its Romanesque church, medieval streets, and stone houses make it one of the most authentic villages in Lozère, highly appreciated by hikers on the GR 6.
Chanac Summer Car Boot Sale — edition 2026
The Chanac Summer Flea Market is an annual summer event organized by the Office de Tourisme de l'Aubrac aux Gorges du Tarn, in the Vignogue district (Parking des Peupliers) in Chanac (48230), in the heart of the Lot gorges in Lozère. Previous editions were held at the end of July (July 28, 2024, from 8 am to 4 pm). Bargain hunters will find clothes, toys, books, crockery, and various items unpacked by individuals.
