Every July, the Comice Agricole de Lauzun organizes its fête au lac (lake festival), a must-attend event in the Lauzun summer calendar. At the heart of the program: a vast car boot sale, accompanied by garage sale stalls and swap workshops, which sets up at dawn on the grassy banks of the municipal lake. Exhibitors from all over the region come to offer their items in a pleasant natural setting, between water and greenery.

An agricultural and popular festival

The Comice Agricole is a rural institution that celebrates the agricultural world and its know-how every year. The Lauzun fête au lac is an opportunity to bring together farmers, artisans, and residents for a festive day. The car boot sale takes place alongside exhibitions of agricultural machinery, artisan demonstrations, and stalls from local producers offering cheeses, foie gras, preserves, and regional wines. At midday, a producers' meal is served to participants: a delicious way to support local agriculture.

From morning to evening: a full day

The day begins at 6 am for the earliest exhibitors and passionate bargain hunters, and continues until 5 pm. In the afternoon, musical entertainment and children's games maintain a festive atmosphere around the lake. In the evening, an entertained meal concludes the day in a friendly atmosphere, with local music groups and dancing. Food and drinks are available on-site throughout the day by the members of the Comice.

The Lauzun lake is a developed natural site that constitutes the green lung of the commune. Surrounded by lawns and trees, it hosts water activities, fishing, and family walks in the summer.
