Car boot sale of the Sainte-Terre village festival, in the Dordogne valley
Every summer in July, the municipality of Sainte-Terre organizes a car boot sale as part of its village festival. Private exhibitors set up their stalls in the town center to offer clothes, toys, books, tableware, trinkets, tools, and decorative objects. This popular event attracts bargain hunters from the Libournais region and the Dordogne valley, who come to enjoy the festive atmosphere of the village.
Sainte-Terre is a commune of about 2,000 inhabitants located on the right bank of the Dordogne, between Libourne and Castillon-la-Bataille. The town extends along the river and benefits from a remarkable landscape setting between vineyards and wooded hillsides. The commune is part of the Bordeaux - Côtes de Francs appellation, and its vineyards produce quality red wines. The Romanesque church and the remains of the former priory bear witness to the antiquity of the place.
The Sainte-Terre car boot sale is inseparable from the village festival that enlivens the village in the summer. Bargain hunters stroll between the stalls while enjoying the entertainment and concerts offered. The refreshments and food, run by volunteers, offer grilled items and cold drinks. The summer atmosphere and the friendliness of the inhabitants make this day a pleasant moment.
