The car boot sale of Saint-Pons-de-Thomières enlivens this small spa town every summer, a historic sub-prefecture of the Hérault and capital of the Haut-Languedoc Regional Natural Park. Exhibitors take over the squares and alleys of the town center to offer clothes, trinkets, toys, and second-hand items in a monumental and green setting.
Every summer, Saint-Pons-de-Thomières (34220) hosts its car boot sale in the squares and boulevards of the town center. Exhibitors offer clothes, trinkets, toys, books, crockery, tools and flea market items in an exceptional setting, dominated by the majestic Romanesque cathedral and surrounded by century-old plane trees. The event attracts bargain hunters from all over the Haut-Languedoc mountains and the Biterrois region.
Former sub-prefecture of the Hérault, Saint-Pons-de-Thomières is a small town of 2,000 inhabitants nestled in the Jaur valley, in the heart of the Haut-Languedoc Regional Natural Park. The city has remarkable heritage: Romanesque-Gothic cathedral, Regional Prehistory Museum, old thermal baths, and numerous private mansions. The source of the Jaur, a spectacular resurgence gushing at the foot of the town, and the nearby Devèze Caves add to the tourist appeal of this mountain destination.
The car boot sale is part of a rich summer program of cultural and festive events. The Wednesday weekly market, open-air concerts, and hikes in the Jaur gorges complement a varied leisure offer. The restaurants and cafes on Place du Tilleul allow you to extend your visit with mountain specialties.
The car boot sale of Saint-Pons-de-Thomières returns in the summer of 2026. Flea market and bargain hunting in the heart of the Haut-Languedoc.
