Large car boot sale with 250 exhibitors in the village perched above the Loire gorges
Saint-Jean-Saint-Maurice-sur-Loire, a village perched above the Loire gorges, hosts a large car boot sale each spring that takes over the streets and alleys of the town. With around 250 exhibitors, it is one of the most important events in the department.
The village, dominated by the ruins of its castle and offering a plunging view of the Loire gorges and the Villerest lake, provides a spectacular backdrop for this day of treasure hunting. Stalls are spread throughout the streets, between the granite houses.
The 250 exhibitors offer a wide range of items: clothing, toys, books, crockery, tools, trinkets, and small furniture. The event attracts treasure hunters from the Roannais, Forez, and even neighboring departments.
