Summer car boot sale in the abbey village of Saint-Ferme, in the Entre-deux-Mers region of Gironde
Every summer, the village of Saint-Ferme (33580) hosts a car boot sale in its town center, near its famous Benedictine abbey. Private sellers set up their stalls to offer a variety of second-hand items: clothing, toys, books, tableware, trinkets, small furniture, and decorative objects. The exceptional historic setting adds a special charm to this summer bargain hunting day.
Saint-Ferme is a commune of about 350 inhabitants located in the east of the Entre-deux-Mers, on the border of Lot-et-Garonne. The village is dominated by its Benedictine abbey, founded in the 11th century, whose Romanesque church and conventual buildings are classified as historical monuments. The cloister and sculpted capitals bear witness to the richness of Romanesque art in Gironde. Around the village, the hillsides are planted with vineyards of Bordeaux and Entre-deux-Mers appellations, in a characteristic hilly landscape of this region.
The Saint-Ferme car boot sale offers an opportunity to discover this charming village while enjoying great deals. Entry is free, and refreshments are usually available on site. A visit to the abbey can pleasantly complement the morning of bargain hunting.
From Bordeaux, take the D936 towards La Réole, then towards Pellegrue and Saint-Ferme. Approximately 80 km east of Bordeaux.
