In August 2025, Puivert hosted its annual car boot sale in the village center, benefiting from the summer tourist influx attracted by the medieval castle and the lake. Private sellers offered a good variety of items, including many objects related to the mountainous culture and outdoor activities characteristic of the Pyrenean Aude.
The mix of local visitors and passers-by gave this car boot sale a cosmopolitan and lively atmosphere, far from the usual tranquility of the village out of season. The volunteers' refreshment stand contributed to the festive mood in the relative coolness of the Pyrenean foothills.
