Car boot sale at the Poney Club de Paloumey in Ludon-Médoc, between the vineyards and horses of the Médoc
The Poney Club de Paloumey in Ludon-Médoc (33290) organizes its annual car boot sale every spring in the bucolic setting of the equestrian center. Private sellers set up their stalls amidst the paddocks and stables to offer clothes, toys, books, trinkets, and everyday items. Stall spaces are available for 3.50 euros per linear meter with a minimum of 2 meters. In case of bad weather, the event moves to the village hall.
Ludon-Médoc is a commune of about 4,500 inhabitants located at the gates of the Médoc, about fifteen kilometers north of Bordeaux. The village is surrounded by prestigious wine estates, including Château La Lagune, a third classified growth. The marshes bordering the Garonne, the vineyards, and the woods form a varied and preserved landscape. The Poney Club de Paloumey adds an equestrian touch to this commune that combines wine tradition and leisure activities.
The originality of this car boot sale lies in its equestrian setting: visitors hunt for bargains between the stalls while observing the ponies and horses in their paddocks. The refreshments and food offered by volunteers add to the conviviality of this country day. Families particularly appreciate this format, which allows children to discover the equestrian world while finding good deals.
