Car boot sale and plant fair of Saint-Jean-de-Gonville

The multi-purpose hall of Saint-Jean-de-Gonville hosted the car boot sale and plant fair on May 10, 2025, combining two passions in one event: treasure hunting for objects and gardening. Between 50 and 100 exhibitors were spread across indoor stalls with tables provided and outdoor 3x3 meter pitches, much to the delight of visitors from the Pays de Gex.

Treasure hunters could find bargains among the second-hand items while buying vegetable, flower, and herb plants to prepare for the season. The Sou des Écoles, organizer of the event, offered refreshments and food on-site as well as activities for children, creating a family atmosphere in this rural village at the foot of the Jura. The proceeds contribute to funding school activities.

The car boot sale and plant fair of Saint-Jean-de-Gonville will return in May 2026 to the multi-purpose hall. Flea market and gardening enthusiasts are invited to rediscover this original event in the Pays de Gex, between treasure hunting and planting, in a setting offering breathtaking views of the Alps.
