Every year in June, the association of traders of the Mine d'Or organizes a car boot sale in this emblematic district of Pénestin. The event, which brings together about 70 exhibitors, takes place outdoors along the rue de la Plage, a stone's throw from the coast.

Pénestin and the Mine d'Or cliffs

Pénestin is a seaside resort in the south of Morbihan, on the border of Loire-Atlantique. The town is famous for its spectacular Mine d'Or cliffs, classified as a remarkable natural site. These ochre and red cliffs, 15 to 20 meters high, owe their name to the gold flakes that were once discovered there. The Mine d'Or district, with its large beach and shops, is the main tourist hub of the town.
