Historic car boot sale organized by the Conscrits of Messimy-sur-Saône, celebrating 20 years in 2026
The Conscrits in '2 and 7' of Messimy-sur-Saône have been organizing a car boot sale since 2006, which has become a major event in the Val de Saône. In 2026, the event will celebrate its 20th anniversary, a milestone that testifies to the loyalty of the public and the dynamism of the organizers.
The car boot sale takes over the village center of Messimy-sur-Saône, with between 100 and 200 private sellers spread over more than 1,000 linear meters. You can find everything: clothes, furniture, dishes, toys, books, trinkets, and collectibles. Tables are not provided, and professionals are not accepted.
Messimy-sur-Saône is a commune in the Ain department bordering the Saône river, about fifteen kilometers north of Lyon. The village retains a pleasant rural character despite its proximity to the Lyon metropolis. The car boot sale takes place in a green setting, between the village center and the riverbanks.
Two refreshment stands are set up on site, as well as a food area offering roast chickens, fries, andouillettes, crepes, and drinks. Enough to eat heartily between two finds.
