Annual car boot sale organized by the festival committee and Le P'ty Bistrot of Marpiré, Pays de Vitré
Each spring, the Marpiré festival committee and Le P'ty Bistrot — the village's associative café located at 7 rue de l'Église — join forces to organize a friendly car boot sale in the village center. Individual sellers offer clothes, toys, books, trinkets, tableware, and various items to bargain hunters from the Pays de Vitré and neighboring communes. The village atmosphere and the good humor of the volunteers make this day a moment of sharing appreciated by all.
Marpiré (35220) is a rural commune of about 900 inhabitants located in the heart of the Pays de Vitré, in the east of Ille-et-Vilaine. The village belongs to the intercommunal council Vitré Communauté. Its associative café, Le P'ty Bistrot, open on Friday evenings and Sunday mornings, is a vibrant social hub emblematic of Breton rural initiatives. It is this spirit of solidarity that drives the organization of the annual car boot sale.
The Marpiré car boot sale takes place in the village streets, around the parish church. Visitors benefit from free entry to browse at their own pace, while Le P'ty Bistrot offers drinks and light refreshments. Parking is easy in the village.
From Rennes, take the N157 towards Vitré then follow the signs for Marpiré (approx. 40 km, 35 min).
