The car boot sale of the Louise Michel school on the Foirail

Every year in May, the association of the Friends of the Louise Michel Public School in Dol-de-Bretagne (35120) organizes an open-air car boot sale on the Foirail parking lot. This large space can accommodate many private exhibitors offering clothes, toys, books, dishes, trinkets, and everyday items. Vendor setup begins at 6 am, and the car boot sale is open to visitors from 8 am to 6 pm.

Dol-de-Bretagne, a historic city in the heart of the marsh

A former episcopal city, Dol-de-Bretagne is a city steeped in history located between Saint-Malo and Mont-Saint-Michel. The Saint-Samson Cathedral, a masterpiece of Breton Gothic architecture, the Grande Rue des Stuarts with its half-timbered houses, and the Menhir du Champ-Dolent, 9.50 m high, bear witness to the rich heritage of this small town. The Foirail, a large public square, traditionally hosts the town's fairs and markets.

For the benefit of public school children

All profits from the car boot sale are donated to the Louise Michel public school to fund school trips and educational projects for the children. Pitch prices are modest: €5 for 2.5 meters or €8 for 5 meters. The event is open to individuals, with or without prior reservation.
