Every September, the Comité des Fêtes de Loubens organizes a car boot sale in the heart of this picturesque village in Entre-deux-Mers. Private sellers set up their stalls at the foot of the castle to offer a wide variety of second-hand items: clothing, toys, books, crockery, trinkets, small furniture, and decorative objects. The medieval setting of the village adds a rare heritage dimension to this treasure hunting day.

Loubens, a Fortified Village in Entre-deux-Mers

Loubens (33190) is a commune of about 500 inhabitants located in the east of Entre-deux-Mers, a few kilometers from La Réole. The village is dominated by its Château de Loubens, a medieval fortress perched on a rocky outcrop overlooking the Garonne valley. This castle, whose oldest parts date back to the 12th century, is a listed historic monument and can be visited.
