Every summer, the association Los Amics de la Calandreta organizes its car boot sale under the magnificent central hall of Villefranche-de-Lauragais, Place Gambetta. This annual event brings together treasure hunters in an exceptional heritage setting, the covered hall offering ideal shelter in all weather and an authentic atmosphere of a traditional Lauragais market.

An event for the Occitan school

The profits from the car boot sale are entirely donated to the Calandreta du Lauragais, the Occitan-French bilingual school in Villefranche-de-Lauragais. Since its creation, this immersive school has been transmitting the Occitan language and culture to the children of the region. The association Los Amics de la Calandreta, composed of parents and supporters, organizes this event to contribute to the financing of educational projects and school trips.

A covered and accessible setting

The central hall of Place Gambetta offers a covered space perfectly suited for organizing a car boot sale. Exhibitors have 3-meter pitches for 12 euros, with table and chairs provided. The indoor layout allows for easy movement between stands, while the refreshments and food offered on-site by the association's volunteers invite visitors to extend their stay.
