Annual car boot sale in Halles-sous-les-Côtes, a discreet village in northern Meuse
The village of Halles-sous-les-Côtes organizes its car boot sale every summer in the village streets. Residents and exhibitors from the surrounding area set up their stalls to offer a variety of items: clothes, toys, dishes, books, small appliances, tools, and various trinkets. The atmosphere is friendly and relaxed, conducive to great finds at low prices.
Halles-sous-les-Côtes is a small rural village located in the north of the Meuse department, between Stenay and Montmédy. The commune takes its name from the limestone slopes that dominate the surrounding landscape. With its handful of inhabitants, the village retains an authentic and preserved character. The agricultural lands and forests that surround it form a landscape typical of northern Meuse.
The Halles-sous-les-Côtes area is part of the land of Stenay, a territory rich in notable historical and natural heritage. Stenay, very close by, houses the famous Musée de la Bière (Beer Museum), unique in France, located in the former malting plant. The Meuse valley, which crosses this territory, offers beautiful opportunities for walks along the river and discovery of local heritage.
