6th edition of the Fontguenand car boot sale, 170 exhibitors in this village of the Écueillé-Valençay community of communes
Every September, the village of Fontguenand hosts its car boot sale, which has become an anticipated event for bargain hunters in the south of the Indre department. For its 6th edition, the event brings together around 170 exhibitors offering clothes, toys, crockery, trinkets, books, small furniture, tools, records, and bric-a-brac in the village streets and square. A human-scale event that charms with its conviviality.
Fontguenand is a small commune of about 250 inhabitants located in the heart of the Écueillé-Valençay community of communes, in a hilly landscape of hedgerows and cereal crops. The village retains its 12th-century Romanesque church and its local stone houses. The peaceful setting of this Berry countryside offers an ideal backdrop for a characterful car boot sale, away from the main roads but easily accessible from Valençay and Levroux.
The Fontguenand car boot sale takes place outdoors in good weather, creating a relaxed and rustic atmosphere. A refreshment stand and light catering are offered by the organizers. Entry is free and parking is easy on the outskirts of the village.
