Car boot sale of the Apple Fair — Chemin de la Salle, Cléry-Saint-André, October, 250 exhibitors
Every third Sunday of October, Cléry-Saint-André hosts its car boot sale as part of the great Apple Fair. With 250 exhibitors set up along the Chemin de la Salle on the road to Blois, it is one of the most important second-hand gatherings in the Loiret region. Flea market, car boot sale, apple tasting and concert follow one another for a festive day not to be missed.
Cléry-Saint-André, famous for its Gothic basilica and its connection to Louis XI, makes the Loiret region vibrate every third Sunday of October with its Apple Fair. In this festive and colorful setting, a car boot sale brings together 250 exhibitors on the Chemin de la Salle, along the road to Blois. It is one of the most anticipated second-hand events of the Ligérien calendar.
The capacity of 250 exhibitors makes it one of the most important events of its kind in the Loiret department. Places are allocated without prior reservation, on a first-come, first-served basis. Exhibitors can set up from 6 a.m., and the event runs from 8 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. The exhibition fee is €3 per linear meter, making it one of the most affordable events for individuals wishing to get rid of their belongings.
Across the stalls, visitors can find clothes for the whole family, toys, books, furniture, tableware, household appliances, trinkets, and all sorts of everyday objects. The proximity of several tens of thousands of inhabitants within a few kilometers ensures significant and varied attendance.
The Cléry-Saint-André Apple Fair is an autumn tradition deeply rooted in the life of the commune. Every year at the same time, local and regional apple producers offer their varieties at tasting and sales stands. Concerts, notably by the Harmonie de Cléry, accompany the day's entertainment. The organizing committee, Comité des Fêtes, can be contacted at [email protected].
Cléry-Saint-André is known worldwide for its Gothic Notre-Dame Basilica, the burial place of King Louis XI. This exceptional historical monument attracts thousands of pilgrims and tourists every year. The car boot sale and the Apple Fair are part of this tradition of welcome and festivity that has characterized the commune for centuries.
The Apple Fair car boot sale returns in October 2026 in Cléry-Saint-André. 250 exhibitors, €3/m, free entry. Concert and entertainment alongside.
