Car boot sale Flea market of Cassagnes-Bégonhès

On Thursday, August 28, 2025, the place du Bournhou in Cassagnes-Bégonhès hosted a new edition of its car boot sale and flea market, a summer event organized by the rugby club Lévézou Ségala Aveyron XV. Under the benevolent gaze of the 15th-century fortified bell tower, about fifty private exhibitors displayed their treasures from cellars and attics on this central village square.

Bargain hunters, coming from Cassagnes-Bégonhès and the surrounding villages of the Ségala, could browse the stalls from 8 am to 5:30 pm, discovering a wide variety of goods: old crockery and earthenware, books and comics, clothing for the whole family, toys, gardening tools, decorative objects and knick-knacks. The warm atmosphere, supported by the LSA XV volunteers, made this day a moment of appreciated sharing for residents and visitors.

Cassagnes-Bégonhès, a former royal free town of 980 inhabitants perched at 534 meters altitude in the heart of the Pays Ségali, once again demonstrated its attachment to the traditions of conviviality and commerce that have made its reputation since the Middle Ages, when its fairs already attracted merchants and artisans from all over Rouergue.
