Each end of summer, the AAPPMA Les Pêcheurs à la Ligne of Pont-de-Chéruy organizes one of the largest car boot sales in Nord-Isère. With around 250 exhibitors, this open-air event is a must-see for bargain hunters in the region, attracting both residents of Pont-de-Chéruy and those from the nearby Lyon metropolitan area.

The scale of the fishermen's car boot sale makes it one of the most important events in the flea market calendar of Eastern Lyon. The 250 exhibitors offer a considerable range of second-hand items: clothing, toys, tableware, trinkets, tools, books, vinyl records, small furniture, and curiosities of all kinds. Early birds, who arrive as early as 5 am, have the best chance of finding the most interesting items.

The AAPPMA, guardian of the waterways

The AAPPMA Les Pêcheurs à la Ligne, based at résidence du Parc at 11 rue Grammont, is a historic association in Pont-de-Chéruy dedicated to protecting aquatic environments and promoting recreational fishing. The car boot sale is one of its main fundraising activities, helping to finance bank maintenance, fish restocking, and environmental education programs.
