Every first Sunday in July, the association of firefighters of Le Houga organizes its annual car boot sale at the town's Leisure Centre, in the Petit Versailles district, chemin de Coquesale. This green and shaded site offers a pleasant setting for a summer treasure hunt day.

The firefighters' car boot sale of Le Houga is one of the most anticipated events of the summer in the town. Exhibitors — individuals exclusively — offer the essential range of second-hand items: clothing, shoes, toys, games, books, crockery, trinkets, small furniture, tools, household appliances and all sorts of objects. The fee of €2 per meter is one of the most affordable in the region.

For the benefit of volunteer firefighters

All profits from the event are donated to the association of firefighters of Le Houga. The refreshment stand offers cold and hot drinks, while the food service offers grills, fries, and sandwiches prepared by the firefighters and their families. It's a friendly way to support the volunteer firefighters who ensure the town's safety.
