Car boot sale during the Fête de la Mer at the port of Saint-Jacques in Sarzeau
The association Le Réveil de Saint-Jacques organizes a Fête de la Mer twice every summer at the port of Saint-Jacques in Sarzeau. This festive event includes a car boot sale, daytime nautical and land games, followed by a popular ball and fireworks in the evening.
Sarzeau is the main town of the Rhuys Peninsula, which closes off the Gulf of Morbihan to the south. The port of Saint-Jacques, a small fishing and pleasure port, offers an authentic maritime setting. The town is also known for the Château de Suscinio, the former residence of the Dukes of Brittany.
The car boot sale is open to all individuals (excluding food sales). Setup starts at 5:30 AM, without prior reservation, at a rate of €4 per linear meter. Visitors enjoy free entry from 8 AM to 6 PM in a maritime festival atmosphere.
On Sunday, July 26, 2026, the Sea Festival and its large flea market liven up the port of Saint-Jacques in Sarzeau (Morbihan), from 8 AM to 6 PM. Organized by the association Le Réveil de Saint-Jacques, the event gathers between 100 and 200 private and professional exhibitors along the port every summer.
The day combines games on water and land, a seaside flea market, and on-site catering (refreshment stand, toilets, entertainment). In the evening, a popular dance is followed by a fireworks display over the port.
Bargain hunters will find second-hand items, clothes, toys, and trinkets sold by private individuals and some professionals (food exhibitors are not allowed). Entry is free for visitors; exhibitors pay 4 € per linear meter, without reservation, by showing up from 5:30 AM.
