11th edition of the car boot sale in the village of Cléry-le-Grand, Pays de Stenay
The Car boot Sale of Cléry-le-Grand is an event that has retained exhibitors and visitors over its 11 editions. In this small village of 96 inhabitants, the event takes on a special dimension: the entire village participates in animating this day where stands are set up in the village streets. Second-hand items, toys, clothes, dishes, and trinkets attract bargain hunters from the region.
Cléry-le-Grand is a village in the north of the Meuse, part of the community of communes of the Pays de Stenay et Val Dunois. Located 14 kilometers southwest of Stenay and surrounded by the communes of Cléry-le-Petit, Aincreville, and Liny-devant-Dun, the village covers 7.2 km² at an altitude of 187 meters. The Norentes stream and the Andon stream flow through the commune, creating a hilly landscape of meadows and woodlands.
The car boot sale of Cléry-le-Grand illustrates the associative vitality of small communes in the Meuse. Despite its modest size, the village organizes this event every year, attracting people from far beyond its borders. The atmosphere is warm and relaxed, reflecting this rural area where neighborly ties remain strong.
