The Budos village festival car boot sale is held every year in June in this Sauternais village dominated by the imposing ruins of its medieval castle. Individuals offer second-hand items in a remarkable heritage setting. Free entry.
In June, the village of Budos (33720) hosts its village festival accompanied by a car boot sale that sets up at the foot of the imposing ruins of the Château de Budos. Private sellers offer clothes, toys, books, crockery, trinkets, and decorative objects in a striking medieval setting. The event brings together residents from Sauternais and Sud-Gironde for a festive day.
The Château de Budos is a medieval fortress from the 14th century, built by a nephew of Pope Clement V. Its imposing ruins overlook the village and the Ciron valley, offering a remarkable panorama of the Sauternais vineyards. Classified as a historic monument, the castle is one of the most impressive heritage sites in Sud-Gironde. Bargain hunting at the foot of this fortress gives the car boot sale a unique atmosphere.
Budos is a commune of about 800 inhabitants located between the Graves and Sauternes appellations. The village, crossed by the Ciron, benefits from a renowned wine-growing terroir. The village festival and its car boot sale contribute to the animation of this small commune where associative life maintains a spirit of rural conviviality.
The Budos village festival car boot sale returns on June 14, 2026. Free entry, refreshments and food available.
