Car boot sale organized by the BIC in the village of Ayguemorte-les-Graves, a wine-growing commune of the Graves appellation
In June, the BIC (Bureau d'Initiative Citoyenne) of Ayguemorte-les-Graves (33640) organizes a car boot sale in the village center of this wine-growing commune of the Graves appellation. Private sellers offer clothes, toys, books, dishes, trinkets, and everyday objects to bargain hunters from the south of the Bordeaux metropolis. The event is part of the associative dynamic of a village committed to local life.
Ayguemorte-les-Graves is a commune of about 2,000 inhabitants located south of Bordeaux, in the Graves appellation. The name of the village, which literally means "dead water", evokes the wetlands and slow-moving rivers that characterize this terroir. The surrounding vineyards produce quality dry red and white wines. The commune, residential but rural, has managed to maintain a lively village life thanks to associations like the BIC.
The BIC is a citizen association that works to promote animation and social connection in the commune. The June car boot sale is one of its flagship events, bringing together residents and visitors for a day of bargain hunting and conviviality. The refreshments offered by volunteers complete this morning in a relaxed and warm atmosphere.
