Every spring, the Association des Parents d'Élèves of Lumbin organizes its annual car boot sale in an unusual location: the parking lot of the paragliding landing area. This vast and open space, located at the foot of the Petites Roches plateau and the Chartreuse massif, offers a practical and spectacular setting for bargain hunters.

A unique setting between sky and earth

Lumbin is one of the major paragliding spots in Isère. The landing area, which hosts the car boot sale, regularly sees the colorful sails of paragliders descending from the Saint-Hilaire-du-Touvet plateau. Bargain hunting while watching paragliders land is a unique experience that gives this event its special charm.

For the benefit of the school

The APE of Lumbin uses the profits from the car boot sale to finance school trips, shows, and educational projects for the municipal school. School families are heavily involved, both as exhibitors and as volunteers at the refreshment stand and food stall.

Lumbin is a commune of 2,000 inhabitants located in the Grésivaudan valley, between Grenoble and Chambéry. At the foot of the cliffs of the Petites Roches plateau, the village benefits from a remarkable natural setting.
