Spring car boot sale in the village of Andouillé-Neuville, a rural commune north of Rennes
Every year in April, the village of Andouillé-Neuville hosts its spring car boot sale in the streets of the town center. Private sellers unpack their attic treasures — clothes, toys, books, dishes, tools, trinkets and various items — in a relaxed and rural atmosphere. The event attracts bargain hunters from the surrounding area as well as families from the Rennes region looking for Sunday deals.
A commune of less than 1,200 inhabitants located 22 km north of Rennes, Andouillé-Neuville is a peaceful village in the Saint-Aubin-d'Aubigné region. Surrounded by hedgerows and meadows, the village retains charming rural heritage with its church and granite houses. Local associations, supported by the festival committee and local organizations, liven up the village throughout the year. The April car boot sale is one of the most unifying events in the commune.
The refreshment stand and catering available on site allow visitors to take a gourmet break between finds. Entry is free and the outdoor setting, in the village streets, offers a pleasant environment to stroll at the pace of the first beautiful days of spring.
