The Eymet Car Boot Sale: 200 exhibitors in the heart of the bastide

Every year in June, the bastide of Eymet hosts one of the largest car boot sales in the south of Dordogne. With over 200 exhibitors, both individuals and professionals, this event organized by the Portes Sud Périgord Tourist Office attracts thousands of bargain hunters from all over Périgord Pourpre and beyond.

A route through the bastide

The stalls stretch along a generous route that crosses the town: Boulevard National, Eymet's main artery, Avenue du Maréchal de Lattre de Tassigny, the Parc de la Gare, and Avenues du Général de Gaulle and George Duby. This layout allows visitors to stroll at length between the stalls, enjoying the different atmospheres of each district of the bastide.

Eymet, an Anglo-Gascon bastide

Founded in 1270, Eymet is a bastide in Périgord Pourpre that has retained its medieval charm: its arcaded square, its keep, its flowery alleys, and its old houses.
