Car Boot Sale and Crafts of Lapanouse

On Friday, August 15th, 2025, the village of Lapanouse hosted its traditional car boot sale and craft market as part of the Fête de Lapanouse. Organized by the association Sauvegarde du Patrimoine Panousain, this festive day took over the old streets and the surroundings of the Romanesque church dating from the 9th century, transforming the heart of this small village in the causse de Sévérac into a vast space for treasure hunting and artisanal discovery.

From 9 am to 6 pm, private sellers offered a wide selection of second-hand items — clothes, crockery, books, toys, trinkets, and small furniture — while local artisans and creators exhibited their work in jewelry, soap making, glass blowing, and leatherwork. Visitors could stroll between the stalls, admiring the village's architectural heritage, from the Château de Loupiac to the sculpted corbels of the Romanesque church.

This edition confirmed the appeal of this friendly event, which combines popular treasure hunting with the promotion of local crafts, in an authentic setting at an altitude of 658 meters, in the heart of Aveyron.
