Early summer flea market at the foot of the medieval ramparts
The June flea market and car boot sale of Mennetou-sur-Cher is held annually in this fortified medieval town in Loir-et-Cher, as a complement to the large August flea market. Exhibitors set up along the Cher for a day of treasure hunting at the foot of the 13th-century ramparts, in an exceptional historical and natural setting.
Mennetou-sur-Cher hosts two annual flea markets: the June one opens the summer treasure hunting season in this fortified medieval town. Exhibitors take over the areas along the Cher for a flea market day at the beginning of summer, when the days are longest and the setting is particularly bright.
With its 13th-century ramparts, its watchtowers, and its half-timbered houses, Mennetou-sur-Cher offers a unique setting for this flea market. Treasure hunters stroll among the stalls before venturing into the town's cobbled streets, discovering the restored medieval facades and flowery gardens along the way.
This June edition complements the traditional August flea market, offering treasure hunters a second event of the year. The two events attract complementary audiences: local regulars in June, holidaymakers in August.
The June flea market and car boot sale of Mennetou-sur-Cher returns in June 2026 at the foot of the medieval ramparts.
